It is with sadness that I must inform you that our County Patron Sir John Lowther died this morning.  I am sure you will all join me in offering condolences to his widow Lady Lowther.  I have written to her on behalf of the County Scout Council.

Sir John was a stalwart supporter of Scouting in Northamptonshire as is represented by our eponymous County Centre.  His passing is a great loss to our movement.

Sir John's funeral is to be a private one at Guilsborough Church but there will be a memorial service at a later date.

Lady Jennifer has asked that the collections and any donations are split with 50% coming to Northamptonshire Scouts.
