Ashby Fields Scout Group stores its equipment alongside the District Stores and is willing to lend out it's equipment under the same terms and conditions as for the District Stores.  So if you don't see what you need in the District Stores, please enquire what is available from Ashby Fields Scout Group (all enquiries to the District QM).  (eventually I will be able to supply a list like that for the District kit)

DAVENTRY DISTRICT STORES TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Equipment is to be picked up from and returned to the District Stores unless arranged otherwise with the District QM.
2. Please return equipment to the same location in the District Stores that it was picked up from whilst keeping the District Stores as tidy as possible.
3. It is the borrowers responsibility to return all equipment clean and dry, especially tentage, so it can be used by the next borrower without any undue problems.
4. If equipment is damaged in use, please let the District QM know so it can be repaired or replaced if necessary.  It is the responsibility of the borrower to return the equipment in the same state it was collected in, except for reasonable wear and tear.  The District reserves the right to charge repair or replace costs to borrowers who return damaged equipment.
5. All cheques to be made payable to Daventry District Scout Council.
6. It is the borrowers responsibility to have appropriate and adequate insurance, especially if borrowing the box trailer or District marquee.

Gas bottles are available from John Rogers ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) as follows:
Calor Gas bottles (butane (blue); 1 x 7kg and 4 x 15kg) – for gas burners, fridge, water boiler
Camping Gaz bottles (4 x 904 size) – for gas lights
Approximate refill costs are:
Calor gas 7kg - £18; 15kg - £26
Camping gaz 904 size - £17
As these costs are significant, we accept donations; as a guideline, £10 per Calor gas bottle or £5 per Camping Gaz bottle for a weekend is the usual donation.
The box trailer is an expensive piece of equipment to maintain, repair and replace.  Accordingly, the District accepts donations for it’s use.  As a guideline, £50 per week is the usual donation.
